# Instant Currency

> Instant Currency is a Google Sheets add-on that converts currencies with one click. It writes plain values (not formulas) directly to cells and applies correct currency formatting automatically. 160+ currencies supported. Free tier available; Pro tier is $5/month for historical exchange rates and priority support. The site is available in English, Spanish, Italian, French, German, and Japanese.

Instant Currency replaces manual GOOGLEFINANCE formulas with a sidebar interface that lets users select currencies, highlight cells, and convert in one click. Converted values are hardcoded numbers, so they never break when sheets are shared, copied, or exported. The add-on formats each currency correctly: zero decimals for yen, apostrophe separators for Swiss francs, and so on.

Users can convert individual selections or toggle whole-sheet mode. A formula mode is also available for users who prefer live-updating GOOGLEFINANCE formulas instead of static values.

Pro subscribers can convert at historical exchange rates for any past date.
